Short answers. The full version is in the Rules.
No — nothing is refunded. Your payment buys the zone for as long as you hold it, which might be ten minutes. What it does do is stay on that zone as credit: take it back later and you pay only the difference. So the money isn't returned, but it isn't burned either.
No, and we've stopped using the word. In an auction, losing costs nothing. Here every claim is a purchase that completes immediately: you get the zone straight away, and you keep it until you're beaten. It's closer to king of the hill than to eBay.
An unclaimed zone is $5. Taking one that somebody holds costs their stake plus at least 10% (minimum $1), rounded up to the next dollar — so a $5 zone costs $6 to take. The exact number is always shown before you pay.
No refund, but you don't need one. Every claim gets a private edit link by email — change your name, domain, logo or tagline as often as you like, instantly and free.
That's a bug, not a rule. It can happen if two payments land within seconds of each other; the second is recorded as outbid and we refund it. Email us with the address you paid from.
Until somebody pays more. Could be forever. There's no timer, and no minimum — paying does not reserve the zone for any period.
You come off the globe, and you stay in that zone's history permanently with what you paid and when. The record is the part that doesn't go away.
Yes, and it's cheaper than it looks. Everything you've already paid on that zone counts as credit, so you pay only the difference between the new price and your existing stake. Claim at $5, lose it, and taking it back at $7 costs you the gap, not $7.
It's not refunded, and you can't move it to another zone or get it out. But it stays on that zone permanently and counts toward every future claim you make on it. Use the same email each time — that's how we know it's you.
Yes. As many as you want to pay for.
No. There's no signup and no password. We email you a private link that edits your listing — treat it like a password, since anyone holding it can change your entry.
It's fetched automatically from the domain you give us. If it looks wrong, your site's favicon is what needs fixing.
No. It's used for the receipt and your edit link, and nothing else. Your name, domain and tagline are public; your email isn't.
Cards only, through Stripe Checkout. Card details never touch this site.
There are 315 and they're all claimable — use the search to find one that isn't shown as a marker at your current zoom.
Your listing links to your site, and the zone pages are public and indexable. We make no promises at all about traffic, clicks, rankings or anything else. Buy it because it's a fun place to put your name, not as a growth strategy.
